I was wondering if anybody knew any decent builds for farming the area. I know I've seen people running capped son before, so I know it's possible. I'm specifically looking for loot drops, so anything solo would be best.

There are better places to farm for drops, but if you want to go there, and solo, your best bet is probably perma, or if you are willing to bring a hero, do a 600/smite. There are various options available, just try a few and see what works best for you.

Running cap son i think is different to what your seeing - basically the runner is just doing the quest for payment or getting the letters.
The only other reason for farming would be to increase the foes for either loot or vanquishing.
If letter farming then 3 mm necros would blast thru it - minion army does the work lol - but im sure theres plenty of other builds capable of farming it/there.

The problem I keep running into is getting there in the first place. Gaze of Contempt and Order of Apostasy from the mobs along the way always strip the hell out of my enchantments.

I should also mention that I'm doing it in HM for more drops.

Ob Flesh Earth Ele Terra Tank can breeze right through it. Especially with a run skill like Storm Djinn's Haste to run you there.

I've solo'd this more times than I care to remember.

I've solo'd it with a MM, a Perma Sin, and a Terratank.

Doing it with a Perma Sin is tough, especially in HM due to signets in the main group. They do lots of damage usually much faster than you're able to heal. With a Terra, its pretty easy.....just walk through them like billy-badass since you take zero damage and are immune to spells. Use sliver to kill.

With a MM it's pretty easy, just stand back and let your minions do the work. Don't go too far in at first.....slowly walk forward, and only after you've cleared the majority near your minions. Stay within soul reaping range and keep in mind you'll be creating new minions as fast as your spells can recharge.
